From October 5th through the 7th, 2016, Coarm Deo Farm hosted Mid Coast Christian Academy. Students and staff arrived on the 5th, set up camp and prepared for a full day of work on the farm. Students were divided into groups, depending on interests, and went to work on splitting wood, digging post holes, pouring cement, collecting saplings and building a wigwam. In the process students learned about knot tying, structure design, composting, and some basic husbandry. In the evening around a robust camp fire a Bible study was conducted via the Socratic Method by pastor Garret Soucy. Students were challenged to consider the global persecution among Christians and their personal thoughts in the midst of such knowledge.
