According to the old timers in the area this has been one of the best maple sugar seasons in a while. It’s April 5th with perfect sap conditions. The maple trees have no buds on them yet and the nights have been in the teens. For the last several days it has not gone above freezing. As soon as it warms there will be another run and thus more syrup to boil! We ran about 1000' of running line and 200' of main line tubing for 60 taps. This is an experimental year for us to see how it works. Next year we plan to go full tilt with 200 taps to start. If you’re bored next February come see us.
