This year was a remarkable year for apples in Maine. The spring was perfect for abundant blossoms and the trees exploded with fall fruit. On coram Deo Farm we have over 40 apple trees that need restoration. Some of these trees are old as the hills and will need the woods cleared out from around them and proper pruning to get them back in shape. These are valuable heirloom varieties we have yet to identify left over from when the property was farmed over 80 years ago. In our ongoing logging operation on the property we are making every effort to open the canopy so these beauties will again produce the fruit they were intended to produce.
