Visit & Stay

Welcome to Coram Deo Farm, a 65-acre Christian homestead nestled in the hills of Thorndike, Maine.

We welcome visitors who want to experience rural life, enjoy the natural beauty of Maine, and learn more about homesteading and sustainable living.

Whether you’re joining us for a community gathering, volunteering on the farm, or staying for a few days, you’ll find a peaceful setting surrounded by woodlands, orchards, gardens, and views of the western mountains.

Our accommodations are simple and rustic, reflecting our commitment to practical, sustainable living rather than conventional resort-style amenities.

Guest Accommodations

Coram Deo Farm offers two rustic buildings for overnight guests: our Guest House and Meeting House. Both provide an opportunity to experience the simplicity and peaceful surroundings of our rural Maine homestead.

The Guest House

Our Guest House offers a cozy retreat with a queen-size bed in the sleeping loft, a small kitchen with a two-burner propane stove, a sink, and a mini-refrigerator. Solar-powered 12-volt lighting provides basic electricity, and a sawdust composting toilet offers an alternative to conventional plumbing.

The accommodations are simple, comfortable, and intended for guests who appreciate a more self-sufficient way of living.

The Meeting House

Our Meeting House serves as a gathering space for conversation, fellowship, and community activities and Sunday worship. It also includes a sleeping loft and can accommodate overnight visitors by arrangement.

Planning Your Visit

Both buildings are used for overnight accommodations, although availability varies depending on existing guests, seasonal activities, and farm events.

We encourage prospective visitors to contact us in advance to discuss accommodations, expectations, and the nature of their visit.

Accommodations and Arrangements

At Coram Deo Farm, we believe hospitality and community are more important than operating a conventional lodging business.

Over the years, guests have stayed with us under a variety of arrangements. Some have rented accommodations for a summer or an extended period, others have contributed donations, and WWOOF volunteers have exchanged their time and labor for room and board.

We recognize that everyone’s circumstances are different and prefer to discuss arrangements individually.

Whether you’re interested in volunteering, learning homesteading skills, participating in farm life, or simply spending time in a peaceful rural setting, we encourage you to contact us to discuss possibilities.

Accommodations are limited, and availability depends on existing guests, seasonal activities, and the needs of the farm.

Whether you’re coming to volunteer, participate in a gathering, learn about homesteading, or simply enjoy the surroundings, we look forward to welcoming you.
